Art This Way Fest 2026

Outdoor Public Art & Projection Mapping

October 2–3, 2026 | Broadway Arts District, Fort Wayne, Indiana

In October 2026, I participated in Art This Way Fest with a large-scale outdoor projection-mapping installation at The Abstract in Fort Wayne's Broadway Arts District.

The installation featured my Geometry Wall, an expandable three-dimensional sculpture constructed from repeating 12-inch equilateral triangles. Through original cel animation, rotoscoping, and Blender 3D animation, I transformed the sculptural surface into a moving environment of shifting geometry, surreal imagery, and optical illusions.

Art Beyond the Gallery

Presenting the Geometry Wall outdoors allowed the work to become part of the surrounding architecture and public environment. The installation was designed to be experienced from the street, changing in appearance between daylight and nighttime projection.

The project involved fabricating and assembling large modular sections, preparing the sculpture for outdoor conditions, precisely aligning projected imagery, and maintaining the installation throughout its public presentation.

This experience contributed to my ongoing development of large-scale sculptural systems that can be adapted for festivals, architectural spaces, and interactive environments.

Public Art & Community

Art This Way Fest brought together artists and the Fort Wayne community to celebrate public art throughout the Broadway corridor.

My participation strengthened my involvement with the Broadway Arts District and provided an opportunity to share my approach to combining traditional fine art, sculpture, animation, and projection mapping with the public.

The installation received coverage from the Journal Gazette and WANE 15, including a live television demonstration of the projection-mapping process.

Continuing Development

The outdoor presentation served as an important stage in the development of the Geometry Wall as a modular public-art system.

The project continues to evolve toward larger architectural installations, immersive passageways, and interactive environments incorporating audience-responsive animation.
